Inspired by the layered structure of traditional pickling, the packaging translates the repeated covering and resting of mustard greens during fermentation into a visual language. Flavor is not achieved all at once, but gradually accumulated through time.
The box features a mountain silhouette rendered in gold foil, symbolizing the land and flavors nurtured within the mountains. The gilded lines resemble a landscape sealed by light—restrained, quiet, and deliberate. An elastic cord is intentionally wrapped around the mountain form, not as decoration but as a symbolic act of packaging, as if the flavors of the mountain were carefully gathered, bound, and carried away from their origin.
The layered wrapping reflects the relationship between ingredients, time, and craftsmanship, while the cord transforms “preservation” into a tangible gesture, creating a ritual-like moment of unsealing when the box is opened. This is not merely a gift box, but a reinterpretation of preservation—not to stop time, but to allow flavor to continue maturing while being sealed.
The Sealed Mountain
is a mountain carefully wrapped, and a sensory journey waiting to be unveiled.
